About

I'm Dipankar Sarkar, an engineer and builder based in the UK. I've spent the last two decades shipping software across India, Europe, and the US — from scrappy startups to enterprise systems that handle real money.

Before the current AI wave, I co-founded Kwippy (India's early attempt at a Twitter-like platform), wrote the Nginx Cookbook (one of the first), and contributed to Kubernetes and cAdvisor when container orchestration was still finding its footing.

These days I run Neul Labs, building high-performance AI agent infrastructure — Rust-accelerated drop-in components for the messy, real-world kind of agent stack where latency matters and hallucinations cost money.

This site has been around since 2007. It's where I write about whatever I'm thinking about: AI, DevOps, self-hosting, startup stories, and the occasional random exploration that doesn't fit anywhere else.
